Call to air your views at Twickenham Riverside exhibition5.15.00pm GMT Fri 25th Jan 2008
• A FIVE-DAY exhibition on plans to regenerate Twickenham Riverside is being launched as part of Richmond Council's continuing consultation drive. It follows hot on the heels of two workshops, held last October and November, at which residents, stakeholders and businesses contributed their ideas for the development of the riverside. The exhibition will showcase the latest proposals and will be held at York House in Twickenham from Feb 13 to 17. It will be a prelude to the launch of a development brief for this key site. The exhibition dates are: Feb 13: Hyde Room, York House, 10am to 8pm; Feb 14: Octagon Room, York House, 10am to 8pm; Feb 15: Hyde Room, York House, 10am to 8pm; Feb 16: Hyde Room, York House, 10am to 5pm; Feb 17: Hyde Room, York House, 11am to 4pm. Council Leader, Cllr Serge Lourie, said: "Twickenham Riverside has been a blot on the landscape for far too long and I am delighted with the progress being made to achieve a scheme that will significantly improve the riverside and town. Numerous ideas were contributed at last year's highly-successful workshops and we have taken many of these on board. A lot of important decisions have yet to be made but this exhibition is a further, key stage in our consultation process prior to our finalising a development brief for the site. Visitors will be able to see latest ideas for the regeneration. We are, of course, extremely keen to receive feedback from the public and a questionnaire will be available and Council officers on hand to answer questions. I hope as many people as possible attend the exhibition and air their views. It will all help to shape the final scheme."
