Libraries: future plans under the spotlight8.16.59pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 9th Oct 2007 Future plans for the borough's libraries will be on the agenda at an Open Forum to be held this month. The event will be staged by the Friends of Richmond Libraries, at the Reference Library, in Whittaker Avenue, on Tuesday October 30. Speakers will include Cllr John Coombs, Cabinet Member for Youth, Culture and Leisure on Richmond Council, and Aileen Cahill, Head of Libraries and Culture. The evening will be chaired by Francis Bennett, chair of the Friends. Cllr Coombs said: "We will be discussing plans for the future, including the options for a new site for Hampton Hill Library, and plans for the refurbishment of Teddington, one of the borough's oldest libraries. People will have a chance to learn about the plans and have their say."
