Teddington School plans to go on show6.49.09pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 5th Sep 2007 Plans for the rebuilding of Teddington School will take centre stage in a public exhibition at the school hall on Thursday, 13 September. Visitors will be able to examine the designs for the £30m project and speak to the architects, school representatives and Council officers. Lighting and acoustic consultants will also be on hand to discuss what steps are being taken to lessen the impact of the project on local residents. The exhibition coincides with the submission of the planning application on September 3 and gives local people the chance to find out more and ask questions of the rebuild team. The exhibition will be open between 4pm and 8pm. The plans will also go on show in unmanned displays at the Civic Centre and Teddington Library from September 17 for one week. Cllr Stephen Knight, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Resources on Richmond Council, said: "The Council has pledged to drive up standards in our secondary schools and the rebuild of Teddington School will help achieve this aim. Subject to planning approval, the plans will create a state-of-the-art educational facility bringing huge benefits to the whole community. Throughout the process we have made every effort to minimise the impact on nearby residents and we want as many people as possible to come and view the plans. Council officers, the architects and technical consultants will be on hand to discuss the designs and any matters of concern."
