Jane Arneil, Liberal Democrat Candidate For Kew By-election

Jane moved to Kew with her young family in 1992. She taught infants at East Sheen Primary School and more recently was Constituency Liaison Officer for Jenny Tonge MP. Jane is a Governor of the new Kew Riverside Primary School and has been involved since the early planning stages.

As leader of the Windmill Playgroup for seven years, Jane built up this local mother and toddler group into a very popular and educational meeting place. Jane has also been Secretary of the Barn Nursery and parent representative on the Richmond and Twickenham Early Years and Childcare Development Partnership.

She has been an active member of Kew Liberal Democrats for 5 years and has been Chair for the last two years, campaigning actively on local issues. Jane is married with three boys aged 11, 9 and 5. In her spare time she enjoys playing the piano and reading.
