Jenny Tonge MP Attends the Opening of the New Building at Latchmere Infants School

On Tuesday October 14th, Jenny Tonge MP attended the official opening of a new building at Latchmere Infants School. The building, containing state of the art classrooms was made possible through the acquisition of land from the MOD, coupled with a one and a quarter million pound grant from the Council. Furthermore an additional £17,000 was raised by the parents of children at the school for landscaping.

Jenny Tonge MP, "I was delighted to have been invited to the official opening of Latchmere's new building. This is a marvellous new facility for the school, and will clearly result in a better working environment, not just for the teachers, but more importantly for the children as well. A lot of hard work and thought has gone into this project, and it very encouraging to see this sort of investment for future generations."
