TONGE LINKS UP WITH TRADE JUSTICE CAMPAIGN9.58.46am BST (GMT +0100) Fri 27th Jun 2003 Local campaigners will be meeting with Dr Jenny Tonge MP this coming week to discuss concerns about fair trade between developing countries and the United Kingdom. Dr Tonge will then be writing to the Prime Minister detailing her constituents' views on trade justice following the unique surgery in Kew on Friday 27 June, when Dr Tonge will be meeting Claire Milne and other representatives of the Trade Justice Group. The meeting is part of the Trade Justice Movement's "24 Hours for Trade Justice" Campaign and the special surgery will be entirely devoted to issues relating to fair trade and trade policy with developing countries. Dr Tonge said: "Successful trade justice campaigns in recent years have been concentrated by mass lobbies in London and other events in the UK's capital cities. I am looking forward to a shift in focus this year which will allow views to be heard locally." "I hope to encourage constituents to voice any concerns they may have on these important issues which I will later be putting to the Prime Minister on their behalf."
