Councillor Brian Miller said "I am surprised and disappointed that the Tories intend to sell off the Terrace Yard, opposite the Three Pigeons, for new housing shrugging aside the justified concerns of the Richmond Canoe Club who are using it as parking for essential users."

"This continues the trend to place residents' amenities and quality of life as a low priority."

"The Liberal Democrats will support the Canoe Club at the UDP Inquiry to attempt to defeat this attack on the Club's future.
