Covering the constituencies of Twickenham and Richmond Park

Kingston underpass by Kingston Station

12.00.00am GMT Tue 10th Dec 2002

On Friday 6th December, Dr Jenny Tonge MP and Ed Davey MP went to officially open the mosaic designed and built by local residents to cover up the graffitti in the notorious Kingston underpass by Kingston Station.

The underpass, which divides Ed Daveys' and Jenny Tonges' constituencies, is now something local residents can be truly proud of.

Projects organised by the Save The World Club to replace graffitti by art, continue to bring together local people of all age groups from within the Community.

Jenny Tonge MP said, "I was delighted to officially open the new mosaic in Kingston underpass."

"The local community have put a huge amount of time and effort into this project and it has clearly paid off. I hope that the Save The World Club will continue the excellent work it is doing in the Community."
